Mindy Leigh Bishop

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mindy Leigh Bishop, born on October 8, 1974, in Lubbock, Texas to Suzanne and Danny Morman.

A beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Mindy leaves behind her husband, TJ Bishop; her mother, Suzanne Morman; and her cherished daughter, Alex Jakstas. She was also the baby sister of Angie Teal and Kim Copeland and the aunt of Bailey Loya.  As a proud Mimi to her granddaughter, Emersyn, Mindy embraced her role with warmth and joy, creating countless precious moments that will forever live in the hearts of her family.  Emersyn was her true pride and joy and brought a huge smile to her face.  She was also a dog mom to her loyal babies Chloe & Evi.

Mindy was a vibrant spirit known for her infectious laughter, loud voice, and bold personality. She had a passion for flowers and plants and a tender heart for animals.  Mindy loved decorating her home for Christmas, and you could not drag her away from a Scentsy booth.  She loved to shop at Saturday morning garage sales and collect antiques.  She also loved to sing along to the tunes of Taylor Swift and Vince Gill.

With her strong-willed nature and a heart full of love, Mindy will be remembered not just for her tenacity but also for the kindness she extended to everyone she met. She was a dedicated property manager in the real estate industry, where her commitment and zest for life shone through in her work.

A Celebration of Life for Mindy will be held on August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial designers. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory and share the stories that made her who she was.

Mindy Leigh Bishop will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the joy she brought into the world. May her spirit continue to inspire and connect us all as we carry her memory in our hearts.

Mindy was preceded in death by her father, Danny Morman, and her nephew, Bricen McNeal.
