Melba Dene Reynolds, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 86. She was surrounded by her family as she entered into the presence of her Savior.
Melba’s life was marked by unconditional love, a deep commitment to serving others, and a heart for evangelism. Her greatest passions were her family, American State Bank, and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She proudly spoke of her loved ones and the many years she spent working at American State Bank, where she built lasting relationships with countless customers. Her heart for evangelism and her deep knowledge of Scripture were evident in every aspect of her life.
On August 2, 1956, Melba married Tom Reynolds. When he surrendered to the call of ministry, she stood faithfully by his side for more than 50 years as a pastor’s wife. Together, they served in churches across Texas. Melba led women’s ministries, Sunday School, and hospitality efforts, and took part in mission trips, sharing the love of Christ with others around the world.
Melba was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, in 2020. She is survived by three children, multiple grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Lake Ridge Chapel on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
Melba Dene Reynolds leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
