David, Melissa, Mitchell, Madi and Drew, For some reason sitting at my desk today I just without thinking pulled up the Lakeridge site. My heart sank when I read Matthew's name. You see he was an inspiration to me in my career and life. I knew his challenges but he showed up with a big smile every single time we were blessed to see him and your precious family. One of the strongest families I have ever known who obviously always led their lives with Grace. While reading his obituary and all the things that he had done and who the grown up Matthew was I thought.....Of course, I would have expected nothing less from Matthew Ryan Lowrie. I always felt like his strength could be seen at a very young age, I believe he was 3 months old the first time I met him. I know at this time your hearts are heavy and I am praying that you can find some peace in your memories and that you are held in his almighty hands. May God Bless you and hold you, Andrea Thomas

Matthew and I grew up playing baseball together at a young age, we loved the game of baseball. We’ve made some good memories together. I can’t explain how much of a blessing it was knowing Matthew and the Lowrie family. It was felt like a second family every time I was around them.

Oh Matt! What an amazing soul. Almost all of our conversations we had in our high school years were spent talking about Jesus. You made me think deeper & dig deeper into the word & in my relationship with Christ. It is going to take me a while to process you being gone, but I am positive you’re in a better place than any of us. Please know your wife & son are being prayed for daily, along with your brother & the rest of your precious family. You were loved by many! We’ll see you soon:’))
