Malcom Warren Newcomb (Moe), age 77 passed away on January 4, 2022, in Abilene, Texas.Warren was born on September 20, 1944, in Gorman, Texas to Allen and Viola Newcomb. He attended schools in Big Lake and Albany, Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He had three children, Misti Dawn, Curtis Allen, and Brandi Leighann during his first marriage. After his service in the military, he worked most of his life in the oilfield until he started his own landscaping business in Lubbock, Texas. Through his landscaping business, he met the love of his life Gail Kendrick and they married on June 17, 2003. Warren and Gail built their home in Ropesville, Texas. They had a deep love for raising a variety of farm animals. The last five years they resided in Trent, Texas.Survivors include his wife, Gail Newcomb; three children, Misti Kallas of Brownfield; Curtis Newcomb and wife, Kara of Slaton; Brandi Newcomb of Brownfield; bonus sons, David Cook, and wife, Keri of Fresno, California; Mike Cook and wife, Kimberly of San Francisco, California; twelve grandchildren, Alex and Gabby Newcomb, John and Christopher Kallas, Olivia, Reggie and Ryals Newcomb, Evelyn and Sebastian Cook, Cameron, Madison and Brendan Moore; two sisters, Babs Morrison Smith and Sarah Morrison Vick; two sisters-in-law, Mary Newcomb and Mary Lou Hearn; numerous very special nieces and nephews along with many extended family members.Warren was preceded in death by his parents; Allen and Viola Newcomb; three brothers, Curtis Newcomb, Butch Newcomb, and Durwood Hearn; sister, Joy Chambliss; brother-in-law, J.A. Chambliss, and sister- in law, Sally (Newcomb) Zullo.Services will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial Designers in Lubbock, Tx. on March 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Services will be live-streamed for those that cannot make it.
