Lester Shaver

Lester was born September 23, 1934 to Leland and Roberta Capshaw Shaver in Hockley County, 3 miles east of Ropesville. Soon, he and his family moved to Lockettville. Lester’s brother Alton Ray joined the family in June, 1936. In 1945, his brother Sidney Wayne was born, and later that year the family moved to Estacado, Texas. In 1946 they moved to Lubbock. In 1948, his youngest brother Jerry Dale was born. In 1953, Lester married Carol Ann Looney, and later that year, Debra Ann was born.  In 1955, Karen Gayle was born. Then came 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Surely God has directed his life beautifully.

In Lester’s early adult days, he was in the construction industry (flooring and tile).

In 1970, Lester joined Ron Betenbough in several real estate ventures. Preble Davis joined the company and later became a partner in Estates Trust, Inc.

Lester died May 29, 2018 at the age of 83. He dedicated his body to science.
