Kim Petree

Kim Petree departed this life on February 11, 2022. She was the center of her family’s life and would drop anything she was doing to help her kids and grandkids. Anyone who knows her grandkids knows they were the light of Kim’s life.Kim was born in Lubbock, Texas on January 1, 1970, to Wanda and Kenneth. She married the love of her life, Brandon, in 1989. She spent 32 years devoted to being the best wife and making sure Brandon never did without. She often cooked, delivered parts, and drove tractors to help out on the farm. She was an incredible mother to her two boys, Blake, and Jake.Kim was devoted to the Acuff community and spent 16 years staffed at Roosevelt ISD. She loved her elementary kids and often treated them as her own. She was always willing to cheer the kids up with hugs and jokes.Survivors include her husband, Brandon Petree; their children, Blake (Raelye) Petree, Jake Petree; grandchildren, Kylie, Kenna, Knox, and Kamryn Petree; parents, Kenneth Herndon, and Wanda McKay; sister, Kelly Herndon. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Ricky Stephens.The family will celebrate her life at 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Roosevelt Arena. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00-8:00, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
