Memorial services for Kate Harding Frazier will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
Committal services will be held at a later date at Lubbock Cemetery, reuniting Kate with her family who have preceded her in death: her parents, John E. Harding and Lorraine Harding, and brother, John E. Harding, Jr.
Kate was born in Ft. Worth, Texas October 23, 1950. She graduated from Lubbock High School and attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. She was married to Jay Frazier from 1971 to 1996 having two sons, John and T.J. Her fondest memories were making meals with her family and all their friends and sponsoring her sons in all their 4-H and FFA activities. Her kitchen was always open to everyone to enjoy her ranch cooking. She loved her family and friends.
In 1997 Kate moved to Wichita Falls, Texas and established her candle company – Ranch Candles from Texas, making and distributing her custom candles throughout West Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada. Inside her store, in downtown Wichita Falls, Kate had numerous photos of her family. She had her son, John, and daughter-in-law, Rhonda, who was like a daughter to her, as well as a photo of her son T.J., dressed in his U.S. Naval uniform with a large American flag. Kate was so proud of her family that she told every customer who came in her store, “I’d like you to meet my family.”
Kate passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family, both in person and on face time. We all loved her.
Kate is survived by her two sons and families: John Robert, and his wife Rhonda, their son, Mason and daughter Kenley, all of Lubbock; Thomas James, and his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Jett, of Weatherford.
The family wishes to thank the Hobbs Health Care Assisted Living and Hobbs Hospice for their exceptionally compassionate attention and care shown to Kate while in their care.
