I remember running around with Jon and Calib in the old VW bug. Jon and I were probably 14 or so. We often ended up at the Kent Kwik and there were multiple times we’d turn around and Jon would be sitting at a table full of old men having a conversation. It was obvious they respected him and enjoyed talking to him. I guess he was always that way. Sad to hear about his passing, I’m praying for y’all.

Jeremy Barnett left a message on February 17, 2025:
I cannot express the sorrow in my hart today, and my prayers go out to the family. I will go as far back as to when, Jonathan would drive his rebuilt lawn tractor up and down our street and help haul water for concrete or just haul off scrap metal from us building our arena. Later he started roping with us and we would stay up past midnight roping and goofing off. This original neighborhood crew consisted of Jonathan, Fletch, Cody, and Brian. Several more came in and joined the “roping babies club” as my dad would say today. But, I will never forget where we started. And that was Jonathan Williams pulling up with his tractor and trailer at the age of 8, introducing him self, and asking if we needed help. I am so blessed that he has been part of my life.
