Johnie Davis Young was born December 29, 1988, to Michael and Martha Green Young in Lubbock, Texas. He was raised by Martha “Betsy” Green and stepfather Ronald “Ronnie” Thorne. He married his wife Linda on April 6, 2020, in Lubbock, Texas. Anyone that knew Johnie loved him. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. A roughneck at heart Johnie loved the oilfield. He was a jack of all trades but the career choice he made in the last year of his life was the one he cherished the most. He is loved and deeply missed by many.

Johnie is survived by his wife, Linda Young; children, Aiden, Brielle, Justina, Jusiah, Joseph, and Juliea; siblings, William Travis Taylor, Brandon Massie, Dillan (Andrea) Taylor, Amey (Chandler) Hart, and Danielle Taylor, and Ryan Dewayne Thorne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, countless aunts and uncles and he was a friend to everyone.
