The family of Jesus P. “Jessie” Torres will gather to pray the rosary at 6 pm, Wednesday, November 11, 2020, and at 7 pm, Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A celebration of his life of 68 years will be at 1 pm, Friday, November 13, 2020, at the Brownfield Cemetery. Jesus passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020, with his family by his side. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the services. The rosary will be live-streamed on this page, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.On November 11, 1951, Jessie was born to Nasario and Francisca Torres in Georgewest, Texas. He married the love of his life, Elisa Deleon on April 23, 1970. Jessie was a farmer most of his life up until the last 10 years. He was employed by Lubbock Electric who treated him like family. Jessie really loved spending time with family, going to the flea markets, planting and growing trees, Jessie was a huge Texas Tech fan.Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Elisa Torres; sons, Jessie and wife Hilda, Vince and wife Debbie, Johnny and wife Chrystal, Carlos and wife Angie, Chris and wife Anjelica, and Julius and wife Rosita; 16 grandkids; and 22 great-grandkids. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Nasarrio, Juan, and Lupio Torres.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lino and Joe Torres; sisters, Lenora Sifuentes and Francisca DeLeon; daughter Cynthia Marie Torres and grandson, David Jimenez.
