Homero L. Escamilla

The family and friends of Homero Escamilla will gather to recite the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers located at 6025 82^nd St. Lubbock, Tx.  The Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.He passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, April 24, 2022.On August 1, 1958, Homero was born to Santiago and Otila Escamilla in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico.  He was a proud Vietnam-era veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corp.Homer was very kind and full of life.  He had a huge love for older vehicles and motorcycles.  Gardening was his peaceful place; roses were his favorite.  He was a great cook. He loved good food, his Dallas Cowboys, and most of all his family.  He will be deeply missed and loved forever.Survivors include his mother, Otila Escamilla; wife, Darlene Bradley; children, Sergio Escamilla, Ashley Escamilla; stepchildren, Matt Bradley, and Daniel Bradley; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Marta Escamilla, Dora Martinez, Andrea Cardona, Gilbert Cardona, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Santiago Escamilla; stepfather, Gilberto Cardona; and brother Antonio Escamilla.We invite you to view the lived-streamed service on this page and sign his virtual guestbook.
