Glenda “G” Schaefer

The family of Glenda Schaefer will celebrate her life of 68 years at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 06, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. In support of the health of everyone, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. The service will be live-streamed on this page, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.On July 22, 1952, Glenda was born to the late J.T. and Glenda Phillips in Paris, TX.In 1970 she came to Lubbock to visit her dear friend Brenda Jarnagin and decided to make Lubbock her new home. In 1973 she met and married the love of her life Robert Schaefer. For the next several years, they enjoyed life together, and in 1976 welcomed their first daughter Angela, followed by daughter Kelly seven years later.After raising her two girls, she was blessed with four grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as G. She loved spending time with all of them and showing off their pictures to everyone she knew. Glenda enjoyed trips to the casino with Robert and family gatherings at Possum Kingdom Lake. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching her kids and grandkids playing and just being together.She made things precious by her touch, and her selfless love will live on in each of us.Survivors include her husband, Robert Schaefer; their daughters, Angela Thomas (Scott) and Kelly Sisson (Brent); and grandchildren, Braydon Thomas, Mason Sisson, Karington Sisson, and Stevie Sisson.
