It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Don Hill, born on March 8, 1961, in Snyder, Texas, to Jack and Beverly (Bunky) Hill. Doug, a beloved
son, brother and father departed this life on October 19, 2025, at the age of 64.
A man of integrity and dependability, Doug was known for his honesty and punctuality, qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike. He attended Texas State Technical Institute and graduated with an associates degree in Automation Robotics Technology in August 1987. He then went to work at Texas Instruments in Lubbock and later Amoco Oil in Levelland where he took great pride in his work and applied his skills with a unique touch that set him apart in his field. Doug was a dedicated and caring father to his son, Clay Hill, who will carry forward his father’s legacy. He is survived by his son Clay of Lubbock, and Clay’s mother Valerie Marshall, brothers Rickey (Connie) Glasscock of Midland, Michael (Phyllis) Glasscock of Brenham, Bill (Cynthia) Hill of Weatherford, Clay (Tina) Hill of San Antonio, Ray (Tami) Hill of Snyder and sister Lana (Scott) Crenwelge of Snyder who will cherish his memory and the moments they shared.
Doug’s life will be celebrated with a series of memorial services. Visitation will be held on October 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. The Celebration of Life will take place on October 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers followed by a graveside service at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder at 2:00 PM.
The family invites all who knew and loved Douglas Don Hill to join them in honoring his memory and celebrating the remarkable life he led. His legacy of kindness, dependability, and honesty will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents Jack Hill, Beverly Hill Glasscock and Eugene Glasscock.
