The family of Dennis Dees will celebrate his life of 70 years at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, July 30, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1969 and attended Texas Tech University. He married Debbie Scott on April 3, 1970, in Lubbock, Texas. They were happily married for over 51 years.Dennis worked for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for 31 years and retired in 2001. He continued to work in the telecommunications industry for another 8 years and then worked for the City of Lubbock until officially retiring in 2014.Dennis was baptized on February 9, 1998. He was a faithful servant at the 82nd & Avenue V Church of Christ where he served as a deacon first, and later as an elder. He loved God, his family, his church family, and his friends.Survivors include his wife, Debbie Dees; their children, Sonya LoCascio and husband Jason of Idalou, Cheryl Sanford and husband Marion of Lubbock; grandchildren, Hunter LoCascio, Abby LoCascio, Mac Sanford, and Scott Sanford; mother and father-in-law, Lois and Billy Scott; siblings, Dane Dees (Kathy) of Linthicum Heights, MD, Ed Carpenter (Laura), Kimberly Webb (Tim), Allyson McClain (Jim) all of Roswell, NM; extended family, Cody and Dee Scott of Lubbock, Randy Bailey of Idalou, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Norman Dees; father, Bill Carpenter; brother, Dee Lynn Dees; and sister-in-law, Jennie Bailey.
