David Bryant Childers

The family of David Bryant Childers will host a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate his life of 63 years is scheduled at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a graveside service at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. David Bryant Childers was born July 23, 1959, to James Lamar and Wanda Campbell Childers in Levelland, TX.  David grew up in Lubbock and attended Cooper High School until his graduation in 1977. Afterward, he became a certified welder and worked in the oil field near the Odessa and Houston areas for several years. David then returned to Lubbock in 2009 and cared for his mother until her passing in 2018.

In 2011 David received Jesus Christ as his savior he was baptized and became a member of Southcrest Baptist Church. David served faithfully as a parking lot cart driver and was always looking forward to meeting new people whom he could help while in this ministry.

David was a faithful brother, an avid hunter, and a true friend, He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

David is survived by his brother, Larry (Bobbi) Childers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Wanda Childers.
