We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Bradley Daren Haymes, who left us on March 19, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on October 27, 1981, in Lubbock, Texas, Daren brought joy and warmth to the lives of everyone he met. A graduate of Monterey High School, class of 1999, he played the trumpet in the school band and continued to share his love for music throughout his life.
Daren never met a stranger. His outgoing personality and ability to connect with people made him a cherished friend to many. He had a passion for cars, was a loyal supporter of Texas Tech sports, loved sharing his culinary creations with others and spending time with family and friends at Possum Kingdom Lake. His affinity for cars and people were brought together through his employment at America’s Auto Auction Lone Star Lubbock.
Daren is survived by his loving mother, Candace Haymes; brothers, Chris (Saren) Haymes and David (Jill) Haymes; nieces, Morghan, Serenity, and Taylor; nephew, Dylan; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brad Haymes, and his grandparents, Jay and Rhea Haymes and Chris and Lila Lee Christensen.
A celebration of Daren’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 2 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Epilepsy Foundation, 3540 Crain Highway, Suite 675, Bowie, MD 20716.
Rest in peace, Daren. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
