The family of Dan Alford will celebrate his life of 67 years at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Lakeridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Thursday, July 8, 2021. He was raised for the first seven years of his life in Anton, TX, before the family moved to Lubbock in 1960.  Dan was a 1971 graduate of Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech.  He was employed by Robert Heath Trucking from 1974-2019.Survivors include his siblings, Scott and Betty Alford of Alamogordo, NM and Mae Jean and Dan Brannon of Mineral, VA; nephew, Derek and wife Jillian Brannon of Iwakuni, Japan; niece, Meredith and husband Doug Olson, of Pittsburg, PA; great-niece and nephews, Bruce and Gwendalyn Brannon and Jakob and Natalie Olson; several cousins; and many longtime friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Ann Nell (Boyd) Alford; and a brother Rex Boyd Alford.
