The family of Christopher “CJ” Mendez will celebrate his life of 22 years on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. A viewing will begin at 10 AM and services beginning at 11 AM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 9 PM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. CJ graduated from Coronado High School in May of 2017. He attended barber school. CJ loved being a barber, hanging out with friends and family, and playing Fortnite. He loved making people laugh, serving the homeless, and being a brother.Survivors include his mother, Nancy Castillo Cruz, and her husband, Noe Cruz, and siblings BriAnna Cruz, and Cameron Cruz; his father, Jonathan Mendez, and siblings, Marc Parraz, Brittney Moya, Isaac Paredez, and Zayden Mendez. CJ is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Ophelia Mendez, and maternal grandmothers, Elaine Castillo and Encarnacion Cruz, and his furry friends, Max and Buddy.
