Cary Don Marshall passed away October 31, 2018. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled today, November 4, 2018, 5 to 7 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 77 years at a graveside service on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Cary Don Marshall was born on January 4, 1941, to George and Pauline Marshall in Lubbock, Texas. Cary graduated from Lubbock High School, and in1965 received his BA from Texas Tech. While a student at Tech he supplemented his income by constructing pledge paddles for fraternities and sororities. Cary worked for Appleton Papers as a salesperson for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening. Cary’s hobby was restoring antique furniture. He was a people person.
Survivors include his siblings, Peggy Gentry Hay and husband, Larry; and Barry Lee Marshall; nephews, Trent, and Cory Gentry; great-nephews and great-niece, Tyler Gentry and wife, Cami; Bryce, Sam, and Molly Gentry; great-great-nephew, Koby Gentry; as well as numerous family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Francis Marshall and Hazel Pauline Marshall; brother, Floyd Gene Marshall; and nephew, Rodney Gene Gentry.
