A lifelong resident of Lubbock, she graduated from Lubbock High School in 1945. Carrie married her sweetheart, Oscar Lee Primm on February 14, 1948, in Clovis, NM. Oscar died on September 4, 1966. She worked in the medical field as an LVN for a brief time. Her passion was in taking care of her family and being a wife and for many years a single mother of five. Carrie’s joy came from being a Christian, spending time reading her Bible, and her love of rosesSurvivors include her children, Oscar “Buster” (Carrie) Primm, Jr., Patricia Carlile, Caroline Douglas, Martha Bleeker, and Julie (Darin) Leighton; eleven grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Disler.She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Primm; parents, Paul and Hattie Rhines; four brothers; and two sisters.
