Bobby James Parrott passed away January 28, 2019. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 82 years at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Lake Ridge Chapel.Bobby James Parrott was born on January 27, 1937, to James and Dadie Parrott in Woodson, Texas. Bobby married Joanna Allen on September 1, 1961, in Anson, Texas. He graduated high school in 1955 from Woodson High School and attended Cisco Jr College.Bobby started his first business venture at the age of 14 harvesting wheat in Kansas. At 17 he left farming behind and went into the cattle business where he worked the rest of his life. Bobby loved cattle auctions, and he owned and operated five different livestock auctions throughout his life. He attended a cattle auction nearly every day of the week and loved every aspect of the business His motto was “Buy Low Sell High”. He will be remembered for his hearty laugh and loving a good prank but most of all his kindness and generosity, always extending a helping hand to those in need.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joanna Allen Parrott; children Ronald Ray Parrott and wife, Shyla; Stacey Gene Parrott, Tamra Frey and husband, Rodney; Keith Allen Parrott and long-time friend, Teri Chambers; grandchildren, Dadie, Justin, Rance, Zachery, and Travis Parrott; Amber McMillan and wife, Cate; and Hunter Frey and fiancé, Hollis Newton.He was preceded in death by his parents, James, and Dadie Parrott; and siblings, Patsy McLemore, and Waymon Parrott.
