Barbara Elaine Ewalt

The family of Barbara Ewalt will celebrate her life of 74 years at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. She graduated from Monterey High School and Texas Tech University.  Barbara married Robert “Bob” Ewalt on August 17, 1985, and joined their two families together. She was the Director of Medical School Admissions at TTUHSC. She loved to cook, bake, and gather the family. She also loved needlepoint and spending time with her friends, the Ladybug group, at Westminster.Survivors include her husband, Bob Ewalt; their children, Chuck (Kim) Ewalt, Ressa (Stephen) Hamilton, Mark (Judy) Ewalt, Katherine (Nathan) Ewalt-Camnforte, Karen (Rusty) White, and Kent Ewalt; grandchildren, Jaxon Hamilton, Raygen Hamilton, Erin Ewalt, Payton Ewalt, JoAnna Camnforte, Kai Camnforte, Ecco Camnforte, Rachel Poole, and Trey (Julie) Shackelford; great-grandchildren, Layla Shackelford, and Barrett Shackelford; and a sister-in-law, Tammie McDonald-Holder.She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Isabelle Holder, and her brother, Ted Holder.
