The family of Arnold William Medina will celebrate his life of 38 years at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Church on the Rock-South Campus. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Sunday, October 3, 2021. We invite you to view the live-streamed service on this page, sign his virtual guestbook, and download his memorial keepsake folder to your device for printing.On October 25, 1982, Arnold was born to Paul and Sherry Medina in Wichita, KS. He married Amber Villegas in Midland, Texas. In 2003, his daughter, Cali Michelle Medina was born. He and his family moved to Lubbock, Texas in 2011. There he began to work at Earl’s Plumbing, Heating and Air. During the past years, he has received his journeymen and recently his master plumber license. He was a devoted Kansas Jayhawks basketball fan. He loved playing basketball with his friends and going to the gym. Arnold began his weight loss journey in 2011, and throughout the years he did multiple bodybuilding programs. He began weightlifting in 2017. It soon became his passion. He competed and won two strongman competitions and one powerlifting competition. Arnold was very inspirational to many. He always made others laugh. Arnold would meet people and immediately become friends with them. He was so outgoing and made sure to be the life of the party anywhere he was at. Arnold was loved by so many. He touched many lives and will truly be missed.Survivors include his wife, Amber Medina; daughter, Cali Medina; mother, Sherry Medina; brother, Vaughn Medina; Grandmother, Nina Hazen; Father-in-law, Tony Villegas; Mother-in-law, Irene Villegas.He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Medina, and his grandmother, Jesusita “Jesse” Sparks.
