The family of Bradford L. Moore will host a Celebration of Life Gathering from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Brad passed from this life to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 2, 2021. In support of the health of everyone, face coverings are mandatory while attending the gathering. You are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy on this page. A private family burial will be held at a later date.Bradford L. Moore was born on February 9, 1952, to the late Billie and Jimmy Moore. After graduating from Brownfield High School in 1970, Brad attended Texas Tech University and was a member of Delta Theta Phi, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He then attended Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in December 1977.Brad practiced law in Brownfield from 1978 until his passing. He was a general practice attorney with an emphasis on business representation. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas, Brownfield Bar Association, and West Texas Bankruptcy Bar Association. He was a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Brad was currently serving as the Terry County Republican County Chair since 2010. Brad served as Brownfield’s mayor from 1998 to 2000.Brad met the love of his life, Carmie Chaffin, at the age of 14. After dating throughout high school, they married on June 30, 1971. They had two daughters, April and Ashli. He took great delight in coaching their basketball teams and supported them as they pursued their own interests.Brad was devoted to his grandchildren. He loved every minute of teaching them to fish and accompanying them in their activities. He especially enjoyed performing music with his grandson Michael.Brad loved music and found solace in composing and recording his own songs. He formed the Christian group, Moore About Him, to share his love of God and family through his music.Survivors include his wife, Carmie Moore; their children, April Pier of Lubbock, TX, and Ashli Moore and husband Paul Bartell of Julian, PA; grandchildren, Michael, Laura, and Alli Pier, and Sedge and Orion Bartell; and siblings, Judy Davis, Rod Moore, and wife Karen, and Pam O’Neal.
