A memorial tribute for Long Van Ho will be held at the Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial Designers in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday, September 25, at 9:00 a.m. Long passed away at the age of 47 suddenly on September 18. We invite you to view the live-streamed service and sign his virtual guestbook.He was born on December 24, 1973, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Ho Van Phuoc and Tran Thi Qui. He is the youngest of eight children. His four older siblings arrived in the United States in April 1975, eventually staying with John and Jean Kveton near Abernathy, Texas. Long arrived in Lubbock with his mother and his youngest sister on January 11, 1986. They resided with his older sister, Hue, and her family in Monahans, Texas. His two other sisters arrived soon afterward as adults. Long graduated from Lubbock High School in 1991. Long made a career as a cook, manager, and co-owner at the Tokyo Japanese Seafood and Steakhouse restaurant in Lubbock, among other entrepreneurial enterprises.He is predeceased by his father (1975), mother (2021), sister Lan Ho Do (1996), and nephew Terry Breen (2017).His sisters survive him: Hue Barkley, Hoa Ho, Hong Hoang, and Vivian Ho; his brothers: Ninh Ho, Thanh Ho; nieces and nephews: Melisa Oepen, J. J. Breen, Brendan Ho, Sierra Ho, Alan Do, Christine Hoang, Jennifer Hoang, Laura Yon, and Christopher Yon; and his Uncle Binh (Vietnam) and Uncle Nam (Finland).He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, business partners, and associates.
