We invite you to view the live-streamed service and sign her virtual guestbook here on this page.On February 10, 1984, Ashley Nicole Perez was born to David and Deniese Perez in Lubbock, Texas. Ashley grew up in Sundown, Texas. While attending school in Sundown, Ashley met the love of her life, Daniel Salazar. Ashley and Daniel began dating and celebrated their dating anniversary on February 11, 1999. Ashley was a 2002 graduate of Sundown High School, where she won numerous awards, including Most Beautiful, Most Athletic, and 2002 Homecoming Queen. Ashley was involved in many sports, including basketball, track and field, cross country, and tennis. Ashley was a fierce competitor and won many district awards, and regional championships, ran in the state cross country meet four times, and received a scholarship to play basketball at South Plains College.After playing one year of basketball at South Plains College, Ashley focused on achieving her ultimate goal: becoming a labor and delivery nurse. Ashley enrolled at Texas Tech University and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. Upon graduation, Ashley began working for University Medical Center as a labor and delivery nurse.On August 11, 2006, Ashley and Daniel were married at Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Ashley continued her nursing career, working in the Emergency Room at UMC, for a private home health company, and ultimately ending her nursing career working with Dr. Ronnelle Burley. In 2014, Ashley began helping Daniel run his graphic design business, DesignTech. Together, Daniel and Ashley built DesignTech into a very successful and well-respected business.Ashley and Daniel had no children of their own, but they loved all of their nieces and nephews as their own. Ashley’s life motto was “Live Hard, Love Harder.” Ashley and Daniel’s passions in life were family, friends, traveling, and saving animals.Survivors include her Parents: Deniese Boyte and David Perez; Siblings: Dustin (Abigail) Perez, David Eric (Heather) Perez, and Cortney (Gabriel) Harris; Nieces and Nephews: Gabriella Jurgensen, Andrew Perez, Aaron Perez, Baron Harris, Olivia Harris, Elyse Perez, Lyla Perez, Alyssa Salazar, Michael Salazar, Isabella Medrano, Nathaniel Medrano, Isaac Salazar, Ian Salazar, Penelope Salazar, Elena Salazar, Sofia Salazar; many in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles and her beloved cats, Ginger, Ally, Pepper and Sophie.She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Salazar, maternal grandmother, June Boyte, stepmother, Kellye Perez, and paternal uncle, Eulalio Perez (JR).
