James Eddie Corley, age 70, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. Born on January 29, 1955, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Thelma Scott and George Corley and later raised by Hubert Green, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. He was the cherished husband of Mary Corley and the devoted father of Loree Johnson and Scott Corley.
Eddie dedicated his career to the oil industry, beginning his journey with Amoco in Rosebud, New Mexico. Through his hard work, determination, and intelligence, he rose from the ranks to become a respected Plant Manager, leaving a legacy of dedication and leadership.
A man of many passions, Eddie found joy in fishing, hunting, and watching football. He cherished the moments spent at the lake, creating memories with family and friends. His hardworking nature and unwavering determination inspired all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved wife Mary Corley, Eddie is also survived by his daughter Loree and son-in-law Patrick Johnson and their children Elizabeth, Brynleigh, Layne and Lincoln of Clovis, NM. His son Scott Corley and his children Ryker, Dexter, Aurora, James, Russe, Christopher, Andrew, Liza Kate of Logan NM. Three brother in laws and three sister in laws.
In this time of mourning, the family kindly requests privacy and appreciates the love and support of all those who knew Eddie. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
James was preceded in death by: His mother and step father Thelma (Hubert) Green, and his father George Corley.
