I had the pleasure of being her student at Frenship Jr High in the early 80's. She was simply the best! I remember that fun assignment that was mentioned in her obituary. She made learning so much fun! You know often times one of the answers to a security question is, who's your favorite teacher? I choose HOLT because it's very easy to remember because she truly was my most favorite teacher. She was one of my Mom's favorite customers at Albertsons too. When my Mom passed away in 2003, Mrs Holt was in attendance at her funeral. I am so sorry for your loss of her. She'll ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart.

Karen Holts’ Family, Karen was a special teacher, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend!!! Karen loved everyone and desired each person to be happy. She would do anything for anyone!(I should know) I encouraged Karen to write a book about her experiences as a seventh grade English teacher. I genuinely wished she would have because it would have made all her family, friends, and students proud of her. I can not help myself, Karen, “YOU ARE THE BEST, BETTER THAN ANYONE!” ( I stole this phrase from Tina Turner) God bless, Karen’s family, friends, fellow teachers, and students!!!

I’m so sorry for the passing of Karen. She was my mentor at Frenship Middle School when I first started there. She was so helpful and supportive. She was so willing to help out wherever and whenever she was needed. Karen also loved sharing anything she had with any of her fellow teachers. She touched so many lives, including mine. Again I’m so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you during this time.
