Lillian Koontz was born February 21, 1941, to J.V. and Opal Wittner Davis in Littlefield, TX. She married C.L. Koontz on October 11th in 1961 at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas.
Lillian attended Lubbock Christian College. She found true joy in the world of fashion…and Elvis! Her passion led her to work at Hemphill Wells and eventually to own her own women’s clothing store, Nicole’s. A devoted caregiver for numerous years, Lillian touched the lives of many with her selfless care. She so lovingly cared for her husband C.L., through his health issues until his passing, demonstrating unwavering dedication, love and compassion. Lillian always put the needs of others first, showing kindness and generosity in every interaction. Known for her culinary skills, she was an amazing cook, delighting all with her creations…especially her famous chocolate chip cookies! Family held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with loved ones. She especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, creating timeless memories filled with love and joy. Lillian lived a Christian life that guided her every step. Very devoted to her God, she found strength and peace in her faith.
Lillian exuded class and beauty in all she did, leaving behind a legacy of grace, love, and faith. She will be deeply missed, loved and forever remembered.
Lillian is survived by children, Ty (Kim) Koontz, Kandi (Eric) Alfaro; grandchildren, Nick Koontz, Ciara Alfaro, Zack Alfaro; siblings Lynn (Linda) Davis, Mary McConnell; nephew and nieces, Cory Hartsfield, Heidi McCullough, Tonya Pfeffer, Britian Shannon, Amy Faubus, Amanda Clift, K.J. Davis, Kess Scharff.
She is preceded in death by husband, C.L. Koontz; parents, J.V. and Opal Davis; siblings, Kent Davis, Mike Davis; niece, Amber Davis.
