Harold Wren passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024. Harold was born on February 27, 1933, to Richard Forrest and Ruby Brown Wren in Monroe, TX (New Deal).
He graduated from Idalou High School in 1950. After high school, he started serving his country in The Army National Guard in 1951 and was called to active duty in 1953 to serve his country in Korea and Japan for 18 months. Returning home, he went to work for Furr’s Supermarkets until 1956. In 1956 he then started work with Kraft Foods until 1964. He ended his career with Hunt Wesson Foods, working West Texas and New Mexico area, retiring in 1998 after 34 years. In 1956 he married Edna Faye Moore in Lubbock, TX. Together they had 2 sons, Danny Harold Wren and Donnie Ray Wren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Forest and Ruby Wren, brother Theon Dean, and sister Oleta Morris, his wife of 67 years, Edna Faye, and son Danny Harold.
He is survived by his son Donnie and his wife Dondra of Lubbock, three grandsons, Logan and his wife Addison, Taylor Don and his wife Lindsay, Dalton and his wife Taylor Hope, one granddaughter Lindsey and her husband Owen, one great-grandson Carter, and three great-granddaughters, McKinley, Harper, and Wrenlee, nieces, and nephews.
