Martha Jane Waller, beloved wife, mother, and sister, gracefully passed on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family at home in Lubbock, Texas. According to her wishes, Martha Jane will be cremated, and her ashes will remain a lasting symbol of the love and memories she shared with her family.
Martha Jane married Mike Waller on May 22, 1971, in Midland, Tx. They were married for more than 52 years.
Martha Jane was employed by Lubbock Independent School District for 32 years. She taught at Alderson Junior High School for 5 years and was a counselor at Mackenzie Junior High School for 27 years.
The lives of her children and the bond they shared were paramount to Martha Jane. She lived for family gatherings and cherished every moment spent together. From shared laughter to heartfelt conversations, Martha Jane possessed a remarkable ability to make every occasion feel special and memorable.
In addition to the lives of her children, Martha Jane had a special bond with the kids she came in contact with at school. Martha Jane also helped several friends of her children, taking them in when they were in need of help.
She is survived by: her husband, Mike Waller; their children: Chad and wife Tarrah-Shea Waller; and Carrie Waller; grandchildren: Presley, Piper, and Paylen Waller; and sister, Mary Ann Keierleber. She is preceded in death by her son: Christopher Michael Waller and her parents, Raymond and Christine Greene.
