“Our beautiful Mia was born on May 10, 1997 to Gilbert Gamez and Jasyln Biera in Lubbock, TX. She graduated from Richard Milburn Academy. She was a girly girl who loved to shop and enjoyed baking. Mia was known for her random acts of kindness. She was a giver and continued to give even following her death by donating her organs. She loved and was loved by her family, and she will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her cousin, Stevie Rey Rodriquez.

Mia is survived by her parents; a brother, Ryan Gamez, her maternal grandfather, Daniel Biera and grandmother and best friend, Nana (Gogi) Biera; paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Yolanda Gamez, Sr.; great grandmother, Connie Carmona; three uncles, Daniel Biera, Jr., Adrian Biera and Chris (Amanda) Gamez; three aunts, Gina Moreno, Sue Ann (Felix) Rodriguez, and Peggy (Joel) Herrera; and numerous cousins; her godmother, Myra Minter, and godparents, Sonia (Stewart) Booher. “
