Tim was born on October 19, 1944 in Stamford, Texas. He passed away May 18, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas at 72 years of age.He and his family moved from Stamford to Snyder in 1956 where he graduated from Snyder High School in 1963. He played football and ran track in high school. He attended college in Canyon at Southwestern College and Texas Tech in Lubbock. Tim loved Texas Tech and attended many sporting events at Tech. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time on the links.Tim owned and operated Hardin Building Supply and later owned and operated Sunset Point Construction, Inc. in Lubbock. He was co-owner with his wife, Cheryl of a Lubbock sports shop, Court Time Casual.He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Ruth (Herd) Hardin, three brothers, Bob, Jack and John Hardin and one sister, Nancy Hardin Blair; and father- and mother-in-law, Frank and Muriel Stark.He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Cheryl Stark Hardin of Lubbock; his two sisters, Cindy Hardin Garcia of Snyder and Maxine Hardin Palmer of Rough and Ready, California; his sister-in-law, Mary Taylor Hardin of Snyder and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rita and Mike Estes of Amarillo. Tim is also survived by his nephews Clay Estes (Kira) of Amarillo; Christopher Hardin (Christy) of Iraan; and Brad Blair (Angela) of Snyder; his nieces, Tonya Garcia Zamora (Albert) of Snyder; Shahala Blair Snowden (Brian) of Wylie; and Stephanie Blair Moriarty of San Angelo; his great-nieces and nephews, Cannon Estes, Lauren Zamora, Sidnee Snowden, Cooper Estes, Jaden Zamora, Garrett, Chandler, and Braden Blair and Ian and Connor Moriarty.He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially by his wife, Cheryl and his dogs, Mork and Mindy, and several cats.The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
