Zabad B. Showkeir

Zabad B. Showkeir was born on May 5, 1934, in Ras Al Maten, Lebanon. Zabad migrated to the United States in the mid-60’s, where she and her husband started a family in Kingsport, Tennessee. She moved to Lubbock in the early 80’s with her children after the passing of her husband. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She is loved by all that knew her and was a good friend to all. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Richard Showkier and wife, Amira; daughter, Nawal Zeitouni and husband, Faisal; grandchildren, Ferris, Zain, Mae, and Hana Zeitouni; Slaiman, Jude and Amal Showkier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Suleiman A. Showkeir.
