Earl William Niemeyer of Granbury passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Harris Hospital Heart Center, Ft. Worth. We will gather for a Rosary service at 5:30 PM and fellowship from 6 to 8 PM Monday, April 2, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 81 years on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 2 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.Earl was born August 27, 1936 in Saginaw, MI, to Earl Ector (Ladebauche) Niemeyer and Georgina Ellen (McInerney) Niemeyer. He served in the USAF from 1953 to 1961. After a short period with the Lubbock Police Dept., he began work as an insurance adjuster in 1968 and retired from Daniel Claim Service in December 1999. He married Patricia Kay Ryan on August 23, 1965 in Idalou, TX. He loved Bluegrass music and played the 5-string banjo. He was raised in the Catholic faith. He loved God and was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a sharp mind, and lived a full and blessed life.He is survived by his wife, Kay; son, Terry (Kamma), daughter Kelly, and son David (Alicia), all of Lubbock and son, Kevin (Rebecca) of Weatherford, TX; brother, Ernie of Saginaw, MI; sister, Dixie Spayth (Larry) of Orlando, Fl; six grandsons, five granddaughters; three great-granddaughters plus one on the way; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers; two sisters and a great-granddaughter.
