Bruce Davis “Dave” Gentry passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 7 to 9 PM Friday, March 30, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 3 PM. at Lake Ridge Chapel. If unable to attend, his celebration of life will be streamed and available to view at any time.
Dave was born on November 3, 1951 to Bruce and Mary Lindsey Gentry in Lubbock, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock. He graduated from Monterey High School. He then went on to receive a Master of Science of Business in Marketing. He received many Awards of Special Merit in small business administration. He then began his career at Great Plains Distributors, where he worked his way up from Recycling to General Manager until 2000. He was the Director of Lindsey Theatres, Inc. He was very active in the March of Dimes, where he always participated in their annual Bid for Bachelors. He was a founding member of the Texas Twisters, where he went on many ski trips ranging from Taos to Austria. He also was a lover of all types of music and supported many local musicians.
Survivors include his sister, Lindsey Gentry; niece, Rachel Kate Holloway; great-niece, Lauren Lane Holloway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Edward, Jr. and Mary Lou Gentry.
