Abraham “AJ” Herrera, Jr. passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 18 years on Friday, July 20, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. Abraham, also known as AJ or AB by his friends, was born on November 23, 1999 to Abel Herrera and Patricia (Reyna) Saldivar in Lubbock, TX. He attended Lubbock-Cooper School and Trinity Church. AJ enjoyed fishing and listening to music and hanging out with his friends. He had the biggest Kool-Aid smile. He was so full of life, took great pride in his appearance and had such a positive and expressive personality. AJ was always with his brother, Adrian, they were inseparable. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Phillipe and Beatrice Reyna.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Saldivar and husband Isac; father, Abel Herrera and wife, Crystal; two brothers, Adrian and Christopher Herrera; two step-sisters, Harley Herrera and Mariah Peralez; two step-brothers, Zadden DeLaRosa and Tallyn Esquivel; paternal grandparents, Jose and Cindy Quezada all of Lubbock; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
