Albert “Tito” Troost

_{Tito Troost passed away peacefully on September 5, 2018, in Lubbock, TX, at the age of 88. Tito was born October 25, 1929, to Albert Troost, Sr. and Dora Shwartau Troost in Tampico, Mexico.  He made his home in the United States in 1940 and graduated from the Texas Military Institute in 1947.  He then began his studies at Texas Technological College before enlisting in the US Navy during the Korean war.}

_{Following his time in the Navy, he returned to Tech and graduated in 1956.  During that time, he was a charter member of the Socii fraternity which later became the Sigma Nu fraternity.}

_{He was a man of many interests and had several businesses, ranging from construction to insurance to real estate development.} 

_{In 1984 he moved to Aspen, Colorado to pursue his dream of living the outdoor life, which consisted of snow skiing, river rafting, camping and bicycling extensively.  He also was an avid scuba diver.}  

_{In 2004, he returned to Lubbock where he became reacquainted with a long time friend, Anisse Reynolds.  Over the next 14 years together, they enjoyed numerous activities; traveling often, entertaining and wintering in Palm Springs, CA.}

 _{Tito is survived by (and I quote) delightful daughters, Terry Troost Lindstrom (Jay) and their children Aaron Thomas and fiancé Madison Burns, Jordan Thomas, Brooke Lindstrom, Taylor Lindstrom, Jaret Lindstrom and Tracy Troost Farley (Jim) and their children Patrick and Caroline Farley and Brennan Farley. He is also survived by his sister, Carmelita Combs of Santa Rosa, CA, and several nieces and nephews along with many friends he considered family.}

_{The family will welcome friends at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd St., today, September 9th, from 5-6:30 PM. Celebration of life service will be held Monday, September 10th at 10 AM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 1101 Slide Rd., with visitation one hour prior to service.}
