A native of Lubbock, Ken attended Texas Tech University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Mathematics. His career with IBM took him to Houston, where he worked at NASA on the space shuttle Columbia. He returned to Lubbock, where he met his future best friend and wife, Cecilia Rothman. They enjoyed every minute of their 31 years together. They had two daughters, Katie and Leslie, who were the joy of Ken’s life. Ken was a selfless, fun, kind, wise, and loving daddy who devoted his life to his wife and daughters. Ken made sure to make memories everyday with his family. Their 30+ trips to Disneyland and Disneyworld were a cherished family tradition. Ken was the master of Disney trivia, and he passed that enthusiasm to his girls. Family, above all, was Ken’s purpose and joy in life.
Ken welcomed son-in-law Ben Moss into the family in January 2016. Ben has Ken’s kindness and tender heart, which Ken saw immediately. Ben is a perfect match for Katie and this family, and Ken was proud to call him son.
Ken’s love for trains brought him to the Lubbock model railroad club, where he enjoyed many train shows and weekly breakfasts with his fellow train lovers.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; daughters Katie Moss and husband, Ben; and Leslie Wiggins; brother Gary Wiggins and wife, Debby; sisters-in-law, Sheila Click and husband, Don; Linda Royal and husband, Aaron; brother-in-law, Jim Rothman and wife, Cheryl; nieces, Lara Johnson and husband, Mick; Allyson Joy and husband, Stuart; Kelli Click, and Melissa Brown and husband, Bob; nephews, James Rothman and wife, Vy; and Tommy Rothman; great-nieces, Haley and Emily Brown; Annabelle and Sutton Joy; Ava Rothman; and Gwendolyn Johnson; great-nephew, Keegan Johnson.
