David “Dave” Murphy passed away January 28, 2019. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 90 years at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Lake Ridge Chapel. Family and friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy, and view David Leroy Murphy’s life tribute at www.memorialdesigners.net.David Murphy was born on May 25, 1928, to William and Mary Murphy in Hall County, Texas. David married Billye Louise Green on November 19, 1948, in Brownfield, Texas.Survivors include his daughter, Dayna Louise Purvis; grandson, Adam Dudley Purvis; sister, Anne “Reedie” Culberth; nephew, Howard Isaacks and wife, Barbara; nieces, Diane Cook and husband, Sonny; and Kelly Culberth.He was preceded in death by his parents, William David and Mary Elizabeth Murphy; wife, Billye Louise Murphy; sons, David Newton and Dirk Wesley Murphy; sister, Inez Harvey.
