Stefen Tye Scroggins passed away on January 11, 2020. We will celebrate his life of 34 years at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel. Friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy for the family to cherish in the space provided below.Stefen Tye Scroggins was born on October 8, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in Lubbock, graduated from Coronado High School in 2004 and attended South Plains College.Stefen loved life and tried to live every day with positivity and a smile. He loved music, sports, working out and anything outdoors, no challenge was too much. He never met a stranger and his heart was that of gold. He was a champion for the underdog. Everyone he loved, he loved wholeheartedly and would protect them at any cost. Stefen’s smile and laughter were contagious and would light up the room, his presence would put you at ease.There are many things that Stefen was proud of, but none more important than his love for God, family, friends and of course his beloved pet Bam Bam. Stefen was passionate about the love he had for his little sister Presley and his most precious gift, his daughter Tinsley. His eyes lit up every time he held her, saw her, or just with the mention of her name. Tinsley was his pride and joy. His happiest days were with his sweet little family.Survivors include his wife Sterling Scroggins, daughter, Tinsley Charlyne Scroggins; parents Teresa and Randy Mills, sister Presley Reese Mills and step-sister Danielle Mills; maternal grandmother, Teneta S. Tyler; aunt and uncle, Judy and Lonnie Stanton; cousins, Ashley Stanton, Trevor Stanton, Carissa Stanton, Kieshia (Greg) Colburn, Patrick, and Luke Colburn and a nephew Brayden Mills; and maternal grandparents, Janet (Roger) Simpson.He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Robert Scroggins; maternal grandfather, Pat JR Farmer; two uncles, Pat Farmer, III, Bret Ashley Farmer.
