Obituary

William Wesley Hallmark passed away December 20, 2018 at home peacefully, surrounded by family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 66 years at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Live Oak Cemetery in Dublin, Texas. Family and friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy, and view Mr. Hallmark’s life tribute at www.memorialdesigners.net.

Wes, as he was known to family and friends, was born on February 12, 1952 to John and Ellen Hallmark in Abilene, Texas. Upon graduation from Cooper High School, Wes moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing. He married Vicki Long on November 29, 1991 in Lake Tahoe, California.

Wes founded his own commercial real estate business, Hallmark & Associates, in 1984.   Later becoming an affiliate of SVN International, Wes earned the industry designations of SIOR and CCIM – two of the highest in the field – and was routinely recognized nationally for his success.  A recreational sailor and winemaker, Wes will be also be remembered as an outgoing, hard-working, and compassionate friend to all those who knew him. 

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Hallmark; son, William Geoffrey Hallmark and wife, Hayley; grandson, Rowan Wesley Hallmark; sister, Joyce Hallmark and husband, John Tanurchis; sister Janet Hallmark and husband, George Daeschner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ellen Hallmark.
