Wanda was born on August 14, 1934 to Albert and Pearline Martin Roberts in Lubbock, Texas where she lived all her life. She graduated from TTU with her Masters in Music Education. She taught elementary school, music, and art for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of FCC. Wanda and Joe McMinn married in 1953 and celebrated 60 years together. They had 3 daughters with whom they traveled and went camping. As a member of FCC Wanda made bulletin boards, played piano, and sang with Silver Stars. She delivered flowers and food to ailing members of the congregation, brought baby blankets and chocolate bread to the newborns and families, and was a friendly face greeting people at church events. Wanda and Joe were TTU fans. Wanda was always proud of her 9 grandchildren. Wanda loved for everyone to sing around the piano while she played. Music, family, friends, her church, and students meant everything to Wanda. She kept us all smiling and we loved her dearly.
Survivors include her daughters, Mitzi Flournoy and husband, Bruce; Susan Seefeldt and husband, Steve; and Sherrie Miller and husband Ron; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Wilson and husband, Kenneth.
