With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Lowe Anselmi, who left us peacefully on June 1, 2025, after a brief battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Vivian was born in February 1940 in Lubbock, Texas, the beloved daughter of Coy S. Lowe and Jean Clarke. She grew up in Lubbock, where she excelled academically, graduating as Salutatorian from Monterey High School. Vivian went on to attend Texas Tech University for two years before transferring to complete her degree in New York, graduating in 1963.
While in New York, Vivian met the love of her life, Eli S. Anselmi, originally from Venezuela. They married in 1964 and soon after moved to Caracas, Venezuela, where they built a beautiful life together. There, Vivian embraced a new country, culture, and extended family with warmth and grace. She and Eli raised three children — Eli S. Anselmi Jr., Sidney Anselmi, and Liza Anselmi —in a home filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds.
Vivian was not only a devoted wife and mother but also played an important role in supporting the family business alongside her husband. Despite the miles, she kept close es with her roots, frequently bringing her children back to Lubbock to visit family and share her hometown’s love and traditions.
In 2016, Vivian returned permanently to Lubbock, where she spent her later years surrounded by family and friends. Eli Sr. divided his me between Venezuela and Texas, cherishing their time together across both homes.
Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Lowe, and her son, Sidney Anselmi. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Eli Anselmi Sr.; her son, Eli Anselmi Jr.; her daughter, Liza Anselmi; her sister, Kay Lowe Atcheson; her eight cherished grandchildren — three grandsons from Eli Jr., one grandson from Sidney, and four granddaughters from Liza — and her growing legacy, including one great-grandson and an eagerly awaited great- granddaughter.
Vivian’s life was marked by her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
