On May 7, 1985, Vanessa Andrea Altamirano “Chona” was born to Abel and the late Naracelie Altamirano in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Monterey High school and continued on to college to receive her Medical Assistance certificate. Vanessa met and was married to Eliseo in 2004; they were married for 18 years. Vanessa spent many years working in a doctor’s office as well as in-home health taking care of her late Uncle Richard Guajardo. She enjoyed Tejano music and took interest in listening to Elida Reyna. And despite her sickness that affected her hands she could always be found actively making some sort of arts and craft. More importantly, Vanessa loved her family and never failed to help someone out every chance she could, especially her kids. Vanessa was strong-minded and never gave up fighting for what she loved.
Survivors include her spouse, Eliseo Padilla; their children, Zoee Altamirano, and Zane Padilla; father, Abel (Mersedes) Altamirano; niece, Beautiful Altamirano; siblings, Romeo (Rosa) Guajardo, Isaac Guajardo, Adrian Altamirano, Sylvia Guajardo, Kristina Altamirano, and Sonya Altamirano.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Naracelie Altamirano.
