The family of Tregg David Granato will host a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate his life of 55 years is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Tregg David was born August 2, 1967, to Joe and Barbara Knox Granato in Amarillo, Texas. Tregg graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas in 1986. He began farming in Brownfield, Texas while attending Texas Tech University where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. He married Karen Kerr on July 8, 1997, under a 300-year-old cotton tree in Negril, Jamaica. Tregg raised two beautiful daughters, Tatum and Piper, with the love of his life in Lubbock, Texas; where he made all their dreams come true. Tregg was a farmer, rancher, and a lover of the land through working and adventuring. He was a creative thinker, designer, and forever fearless man. He loved to explore his creativity through cooking, building, and storytelling. Tregg was an amazing listener and completely present in every moment, he always left people feeling better than how he found them. He remained close and connected to each of his friends through all walks of life. Tregg was as tough as they come yet his love was fierce, tender, and true. Tregg had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He was the most beautiful man on the inside and out and is adored indefinitely. Tregg never failed to live life to the fullest and was doing one of the things he loved the most up to the end of his precious life.
Tregg is survived and will be eternally cherished by wife, Karen Granato; their daughters Tatum and Piper Granato; his parents, Joe and Barbara Granato; siblings, Tonia (Larry) Newsom, Todd (Lori) Granato; sister-in-law’s Susan Williams and Sharon Lockett; mother-in-law’s Mary (Kay) Kerr and Cynthia Johnson; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
