Trase Allen Fritz was born on October 11, 1990, to John Charles Fritz and Lisa Michelle Fritz (Bishop) in Lubbock, Texas. He was the eldest of two sons. Trase was 34 years old when he was called home to our Lord and Savior, on July 4, 2025.
Trase embraced his role with warmth, affection and pride earning the nickname Uncle T to his nephew, Caulder.
Trase was full of life with a smile so contagious to anyone looking. He loved his family, pets, and sports. Trases’s favorite teams to watch were Texas Tech, Dallas Cowboys, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed traveling and watching his brother and best friend play sports. Trase was highly active in the athletic departments at Lubbock-Cooper High School. He served as manager for the men’s basketball team as well as on the sidelines for the football and baseball teams.
After high school, he attended and helped with Empower day-to-day needs where he made many cherished friendships. Trase also participated in Refuge Services where he was able to do therapeutic horseback riding. Another organization close to Trase was participating in Texas Lions Camp where he attended as a camper and counselor. His most memorable trip of his life would be attending the Final 4 in Minneapolis to watch Texas Tech play in the championship game.
Trase is survived by his parents, John and Lisa Fritz; brother Cole (wife Brittney) Fritz; grandmother, Sue Smith; Aunts, Diana Wood, Suzette (husband Clint) Dillion, Linda (husband Paul) Hagelgans, Angela (husband Neale) Ellis, Susan Fritz-Curry (Chad); Uncle, Michael Bishop; Cousins, Brandi (husband Craig) Lee, Katrina (husband Todd) Egan, Kristina (husband Patrick) Nolan, Whitney (husband Derek) Wallace, Brittany (husband Cameron) Pruitt, Matthew (wife Carlin) Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Cade (wife Haley) Curry, Emma Griffin, Colby (wife Addison) Curry, Lauren (husband Jeremiah) Van Den Berghe, Sarah Ellis with many other cherished loving cousins. He also leaves his one nephew, Caulder Trase Friz and three adored pets: Harper, Penny, and Caubo.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin Fritz, Darlene Fritz, Valda Bishop, Michael Nano Bishop, Barbara Bishop; Uncles, Roger Wood, Larry Bishop, Dean Fritz.
The Celebration of Life of Trase Allen Fritz will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm, Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial Designs, 6025 82nd Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424.
Greeting of the family will be held immediately after at Turning Point Community Church, 11202 Quaker Avenue, Lubbock, Texas 79424.
The family has asked that you wear your favorite Texas Tech attire to honor our forever Red Raider.
