Guadalupe “Tia Lupe” Gusman passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Mrs. Gusman’s immediate family will gather to recite the Holy Rosary Tuesday, March 25, at 7:00 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel. We will celebrate her life of 85 years, at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. In support of our city officials and the health of our community, no other guests are allowed to attend the in-person events at this time. Tia Lupe lived a simple life, she was a vegetarian; you could never persuade her to eat meat, she loved to sew and crochet, she had a green thumb for growing beautiful plants of flowers, but most of all she loved her family. Tia Lupe had a helping hand in raising all her nieces and nephews and loved every single one of them as her own. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ropesville, Texas.Survivors include her sister, Jesusa Escobedo; sister-in-law, Sarah Cruz; four nieces, Rebecca Gonzales and husband, Robert; Rosa Hernandez and husband, Tom; Bertha Rogers and husband, T. R.; and Rosemary Hernandez and husband, Gerardo; five nephews, Rene Escobedo and wife, Melissa; Joe John and Joe Louis Escobedo; Tommy Cruz and wife, Lorena; and Danny Cruz and wife, Connie; eighteen great nieces and nephew, seventeen great-great nieces and nephews.
