The family of T. Leon Pope will celebrate his life of 95 years at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the First Baptist Church Ford Chapel. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 01, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Monday, June 27, 2022. We invite you to sign his virtual guestbook here on this page.On September 21, 1926, Thomas Leon Pope was born to Thomas Lafayette and Elsie (Shahan) Pope in Cisco, TX. He married Anna Lea Smith on June 12, 1948, at Euless, TX. Leon Pope was a Postal Inspector which took him from Arlington, TX to Washington DC and various locations in California.  He was a very devoted and loving Husband and Father.  He was an active member of First Baptist Church for the past 27 years as well as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher.Survivors include his wife, Ann Pope; their children, Thomas (Eileen) Pope, and Trisha (Curt) Nielsen; grandchildren, Jennifer Pope, Janelle (Cliff) Thompson, Kimberly (Kevin) Boyd, and Sarah (David) Yaeger, great-grandchildren, Alexis (Justin) Bigham, Shelly Litchfield, Rylee Boyd, Asher Thompson, and Silas Yaeger; great-great-grandchildren; Elliana Bigham and Madelin Bigham.He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Terry Pope; his grandson, Richard Nielsen; and his sister, Jo Katherine Manire.
