Thomas Fletcher, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Friday, February 4th, 2022. Thomas, “Tom”, “Fletch”, was born September 11th,1990 in Lubbock, Texas. Tom was an outgoing and bright individual who lit up many lives. Throughout his life, he was an authentic, loving, and compassionate person with great talent and love for music and writing. His taste in music was well-rounded and unique from Frank Sinatra to 2Pac, Selena to Whitney Houston. His dream was to produce music and he would have shaken the scene. He seldom wrote or journaled, but when he did, it was always from the heart and beautifully stated. Tom graduated from Frenship High School in 2009 and was an alumnus of South Plains College. He took great pride in his work at TXS Gutters and loved every minute of working and laughing with his dear friends.Tom was an active and influential member of the recovery community with a heart for others’ success and happiness. He was a man with great intention and brilliance. If you had the privilege of knowing Tom, you know he was full of life, had a heart of gold, and gave the best hugs. He was a doting father, loving son, supportive brother, and loyal friend and will be missed by many.Tom is survived by his parents, Mike and Nanette Deso, and sister, Mary Fletcher; Son, Truett Fletcher, and Truett’s mother, McKensey Nall; Grandparents Glenn and Beverly McDonald, Uncle David McDonald and Aunt M’Lee McDonald, Cousin, Mykel McDonald; Aunt Becky Hilliard and Cousins Michael Cognasi and Jennifer Harmon; Half-sister, Alice Sarmiento; many other beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most of all, he is survived by his best friend and loyal companion, his beloved Chocolate Lab, Prince, who now lives with Mary and is loved on every single day.Tom is predeceased by his father, David Lee Fletcher, and his grandparents, Truitt and Cora (Gilbert) Fletcher.Family and friends will gather graveside at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 to celebrate his life. A reception will follow at The Radiant Lily in Plainview.
